In preparation of the holiday season, Christina and Sanjaya asked me to capture their family. We met at the Mukilteo Lighthouse and the day was clear, but windy and cold on that November morning. As we walked around the grounds, the kids were doing their best to smile and be comfortable despite the chilliness in the air.
One of my favorite things is to take candid shots as the session unfolds. While clients want that perfect picture for their Christmas card they'll send to their family and friends around the world, I find myself focused on the little moments in between. Catching mom or dad goofing off with the kids or, in this case, huddled together for some much needed warmth.
In these little moments, I see a glimpse into their personalities, witnessing the affection of a family. Those are the moments that bring a remembering smile to my face.
